Tara Reid was born in Wyckoff, New Jersey on November 8, 1975. She jumped into the acting world quite early, at six, when she appeared on a children's game show called Child's Play. Her cute smile grabbed her a number of commercial roles, including Jell-O, McDonald's, and Crayola.

Tara didn't stop there, and decided to make acting a career goal. She attended the highly prestigious Professional Children's School in New York City. Her classmates included Sarah Michelle Gellar, Jerry O'Connell, Macualay Culkin, and Ben Taylor.

She got her first substantial film roles in 1998, appearing in the Ed Wood-scripted I Woke Up Early the Day I Died, The Big Lebowski, the independent film Around the Fire, and Urban Legend, the latest in a long line of teen slasher flicks. Reid won some amount of recognition for the last film, which featured a Who's-Who line-up of post-pubescent stars and cast her as a campus radio talk show host. The following year, Reid earned a form of screen immortality with her role as the girlfriend of one of four high school guys who make a pact to lose their virginity in American Pie Later that year, she had a starring role in Body Shots, playing one of a group of twenty-something friends on the prowl for love and/or sex in Los Angeles.

Edging ever closer to leading woman status, Reid's star continued to rise as the vibrant young actress took on roles in such high profile efforts as Dr. T and the Women (2000), Josie and the Pussycats (2001), American Pie 2, and Van Wilder.

In 2003, her film "My Boss' Daughter," an uneven comedy that sat on the shelf for two years, was released when star Ashton Kutcher's star suddenly rose; Reid played the sexy, tempting offspring of Kutcher's employer. Reid turned in some of her funniest work as Danni, J.D. (Zach Braff's) obsessive girlfriend, in a recurring role on the NBC sitcom "Scrubs" beginning in 2003, but again found her work eclipsed by her off-screen reputation: particularly notorious was a red carpet incident in which the seemingy oblivious actress accidentally bared her breast for the paparazzi, revealing its apparent recent upgrade in size. She next appeared in the howlingly bad thriller "Alone in the Dark" (2005) before developing a TV comedy pilot riffing on her hard-partying reputation - after the pilot was not picked up, Reid signed on as the new host of E!'s venerable travel series "Wild On..."--rechristened "Taradise" in her honor--beginning in the fall of 2005, but it quickly tanked in the ratings and, despite Reid's pleas to be taken seriously as an actress, the series did nothing for her carrer and only reaffirmed her wild child image.
